Manifest Destiny is a solo musical that explores how the cultural fabric and mythologies of the United States can lead to radicalization toward extreme ideologies and violence. Through the use of pop songs, theatrical effects, and visual storytelling, the audience is taken on an immersive journey through changing spaces, participating in events which unfold around them.

The constant shifts between theatrical forms in the show reflect the random, confusing, and fickle nature of our contemporary culture. While immersive techniques are employed (the smell of smoke, the taste of Kool-Aid, the feeling of marshmallows being thrown at you), purposefully distancing techniques are used as well (projections, lip-syncing to audio, literally breaking the fourth wall), forcing the audience to constantly reorient themselves and engage with the piece in ways that may be unusual for them.
